A sofa absorbs far more than most people realise: body oils, hair products, food and drink spills, pet dander and dust all settle into the fabric. Because it happens gradually, the change is easy to miss until the cleaned sofa is sitting next to a photo of how it looked before.
We clean upholstery using the method that suits the fabric, not a one-size-fits-all approach. Hard-wearing synthetic covers take a full hot-water extraction. Delicate fabrics, viscose blends and anything with a dry-clean-only code get a low-moisture method instead, which cleans effectively without risking shrinkage or watermarking.
Before any cleaning we check the manufacturer's cleaning code on the label and test a hidden area. If a fabric cannot be safely wet-cleaned we will say so: refusing a job is cheaper for you than replacing a three-piece suite.

Every seam, crevice and under-cushion area is vacuumed: this alone removes a surprising amount of grit and hair.

Pre-treat and clean
Arms, headrests and marks are pre-treated, then the piece is cleaned with extraction or a low-moisture method as appropriate.

Groom and dry
Fabric is groomed back into shape and air-dried. We'll tell you when it's safe to use again, usually the same day.

Most sofas are dry within 3–6 hours. Low-moisture methods used on delicate fabrics are quicker still, often 1–2 hours. We advise keeping the room ventilated and not using the sofa until it's fully dry.
We clean most fabrics, including cotton, linen blends, polyester, chenille and microfibre. Some materials (certain viscose blends, silk and a few dry-clean-only covers) cannot be safely wet-cleaned, so we test first and use a low-moisture method or tell you honestly if we can't proceed.
Yes, in most cases. A deep clean plus deodorising treatment removes the source of the odour rather than masking it. Where urine has soaked into the foam beneath the cover, results vary and we'll set realistic expectations before starting.
We clean and condition leather using dedicated leather products, not fabric extraction. Tell us when booking so we bring the right kit: leather is quoted separately from fabric upholstery.
